Plasma biomarkers used to characterize early MS and high-risk family members

A panel of inflammatory biomarkers in plasma could aid in the early diagnosis of multiple sclerosis (MS) and identify high-risk family members, according to new study findings.

Researchers in Iran evaluated plasma biomarkers in 35 patients with newly diagnosed and untreated relapsing-remitting MS (RRMS group), 26 family members of the patients (high-risk group), and 24 healthy controls.
