Effects of globus pallidus internus stimulation on camptocormia in people with Parkinson’s disease

    People with PD commonly experience camptocormia, a postural deformity with few available treatments. Prior studies have demonstrated the efficacy of subthalamic nucleus (STN)-DBS in improving abnormal posture, and although the GPi is a main target of DBS, the efficacy of GPi-DBS to treat camptocormia has not been fully investigated.
